Sunday 3rd September – bike **** Around Felixstowe including lunch at the water ski jetty – Sunny periods and hot.

The great September weather continues in fact we ae in for a week of wall-to-wall sunshine with temperatures expected to get to near 30 degrees! After yesterdays unexpected but great windsurfing session and with huge crowds down on Felixstowe seafront for Art on the prom especially as the weather was so good, light winds, after a cloudy start the sun came out, hot too Mag and I had a relaxing morning at home with the usual exercises and gardening:) Then I packed a picnic and we headed out on our bikes inland away from the crowds, past the Grove Park, down Marsh Lane to Kingsfleet. Up onto the River Deben path to the water ski jetty to sit at the picnic tables watching the terns diving for fish with several yachts motoring up and down with kids in toppers moored to a bouy swimming in the river, just lovely! After a peaceful lunch we continued towards Ramsholt with the tide very high turning up to Falkenham Church where we had our cuppa with ‘Emily’ being knackered we took the shortest route back to Trimley taking the High Road home. I was just in time to bike down to the seafront to watch the small plane doing aerobatics, jolly good he was too and the large crowds really enjoyed it too:) What a top weekend we had with more adventures next week, we are seeing the lovely Maeva tomorrow and fingers crossed there is enough breeze for a windsurf foil on Tuesday, fingers crossed!
